Core Principle: All summaries are based on publicly available source articles, and every summary includes a link to the original. We prioritize transparency so readers can always verify information themselves.
1. News Selection Criteria
Each day, Easy Brief selects news articles based on the following criteria:
- Automated RSS Collection: Articles are collected from public RSS feeds of major Korean and international news outlets.
- Interest Scoring: AI evaluates each article's general reader interest on a 0–100 scale, prioritizing stories that most readers would find relevant.
- 3-Layer Deduplication: Similar or identical articles are removed through URL matching, title similarity analysis, and cross-batch database verification.
- Category Diversity: We ensure a balanced mix of topics — Economy, Politics, Society, Tech/Science, World, Culture, Sports, and more.
- Domestic & Global Balance: Both Korean domestic news and international stories are included.
2. AI Summarization Process
Summaries are generated using Google Gemini AI through the following steps:
- 3-Line Summary: The essential facts of each article are condensed into three sentences.
- Easy Explanation: A deeper explanation covering Background, Key Points, Why It Matters, and What's Next.
- Glossary: Difficult terms or Korea-specific concepts are explained in plain language.
- Short Title: Long headlines are rewritten into concise, easy-to-read titles.
3. Source Attribution Policy
- Every news summary includes a direct link to the original article.
- Easy Brief provides original AI-generated summaries only — we do not reproduce full article text.
- Copyright for original articles belongs to the respective news outlets.
- News is only collected from outlets that operate public RSS feeds.
4. Content Corrections
- We acknowledge that AI-generated summaries may occasionally contain errors or imprecise wording.
- When errors are reported, we review the content promptly and correct or remove it as needed.

5. Fairness & Neutrality
- Easy Brief does not advocate for any political party, ideology, or agenda.
- We continuously monitor our AI system for potential bias in summaries.
- When multiple perspectives exist on an issue, we aim to reflect this balance.
6. AI Content Disclaimer
- Summaries, explanations, and glossary entries are auto-generated by AI and may not be fully accurate or complete.
- All summaries are for reference only. Please refer to the original article for authoritative information.
- Easy Brief is not liable for decisions made based on AI-generated summaries.
7. Government Report Summaries
- We summarize publicly released government and public agency reports using AI.
- Original report links are always provided. The full report is available through the issuing agency's official channels.
- Report summaries are intended to improve information accessibility and do not represent the official position of any government body.
